Previous exhibitions/projects: Lorraine was born in Winslow, Arizona and moved to Flagstaff later in life to attend the Art Program at Hozhoni. She was taught weaving by her grandmother at a young age, and has never stopped since. When she is not weaving, Lorraine will draw, work in clay, embroider and paint. Her family and culture inspire her, and animals will also work their way into her work. The love that she has for her family clearly shows in the ways that she lovingly portrays the people she creates. When Lorraine decides to draw or paint, her favorite thing to create are people. She will often draw or paint people together in a large group. They are either all friends or family of some sort. They tend to have stripes along their bodies, almost simulating the rugs that she weaves so frequently.
